Own the Sun Blade X6275 Server Module
Oracle’s Sun Blade X6275 Server Module packs two powerful
compute nodes into a package typically found in single-node
modules. We didn't stop there. Oracle's Sun Blade X6275 is the first
blade server to support on-board quad data rate (QDR) Infiniband.
We put the Infiniband silicon directly on the server module so
customer don't need an adapter to the Sun Blade 6048 Chassis. As
compute nodes, Oracle's Sun X6275 pushes the limit of performance,
providing up to nine TFLOPS of peak performance per fully
populated Sun Blade 6048 Chassis. At 64 Gigabit-per-second
(bidirectional) bandwidth, the on-board Infiniband silicon provides
maximal throughput and low latency, eliminating the possibility of
I/O bottlenecks. Combining the Sun Blade X6275 server module
with the Sun Blade 6048 IB QDR Switched NEM enables support for
petascale clusters. Powered by Intel Xeon processor 5500 series
CPUs with Intel QPI, Turbo Boost, and Hyper-Threading
Technologies to run the most demanding applications,
consistent with all Sun Blade platforms, I/O is off the server module, hot pluggable,
and externally accessible for ease of serviceability. In addition, only Sun Blade
systems offer unique I/O per server module for maximum flexibility. The Sun Blade
X6275 server module also comes equipped with on-board service processors that
enable each node to be managed like an individual rackmount server, so no
additional training is required.
